I am a stay-at-home mum living in County Down with my husband, Andrew, and our three kids. As a family we are about to embark on a major renovation of a 100 year old property, returning it to a family home from three flats and I’d love you to join us on this journey.
The purpose of this blog is to document our journey of moving and renovation- the highs and lows. I’ll hopefully provide hints and tips as I go along on moving house, dealing with builders, managing a budget, decorating, up-cycling and recycling etc.
I have a passion for architecture which really began when I studied Art History at Glasgow University. After completing my Masters in Glasgow, I moved to Dublin and did a Post-graduate Diploma in Arts Administration at UCD. My first ‘proper job’ was working as a Project Co-ordinator for an architectural firm in Dublin which specialised in exhibition design and interior spaces. I learned so much during this time and my love of architecture and interior design has continued from there. Let’s just say I have an unhealthy addiction to property websites and interior design mags!
Before my third baby arrived, I worked for many years in Public Relations. I now indulge my passion for turning old, unloved properties into beautiful homes by running my own renovation and property management company.
